Dave Devana
President & Chief Executive Officer
Dave Devana is a CPA, Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of senior management experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer within municipal government prior to being appointed as President and CEO of the Nanaimo Airport. Dave is well known amongst his peers as an innovator with a focus on environmental stewardship and economic development. Dave lives in North Nanaimo with his wife and is looking forward to providing exceptional service to our partners and customers at the Nanaimo Airport Commission.
Justine Lyver
Chief Financial Officer
Justine Lyver is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) who manages the finances of the airport. Before joining Nanaimo Airport, she spent five years at a public practice accounting firm in Edmonton. She and her husband moved to Vancouver Island in March 2022 and live in the Cowichan Valley. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2017 with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Don Goulard
Vice President, Operations and Regulatory Affairs
Don Goulard brings a wealth of aviation and business experience to the Nanaimo Airport. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) with the International Association of Airport Executives, he holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Vancouver Island University, and has an honours degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. While earning his Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), he apprenticed as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and went on to serve as the Production Manager at an Approved Maintenance Organization. He was an Airport Manager in the Kootenay’s prior to joining the Nanaimo Airport in 2016. Don currently serves on several provincial, national, and international airport operations and environmental committees.Megan Low Operations Administrator

Brandon Wiebe joined the Nanaimo Airport Commission team in 2017 and is the Manager of Operations. He was born and raised in Northwest BC. He loves the BC outdoors and is looking forward to the mild winters of Vancouver Island.He started his airport career back in 2007 as an apprentice electrician and enjoys the flexibility and how diverse the airport world is. Things are always changing with new technologies and regulations.

Laurie Hawthornthwaite joined the Nanaimo Airport Team in Jan 2012 as the Customer Service Coordinator. She brings extensive experience in the customer service field. Laurie has developed and is director of the Blue Navigator Ambassador Program for the Airport Terminal and supervises the Customer Service Representatives and Social Media Coordinator.
