After posting passenger growth numbers of over 30% per month for the past four months, it should come as no surprise that the Nanaimo Airport is expanding. However this expansion does not involve construction or runway projects. This time it’s about expanding the aviation services at the airport.
We are pleased to welcome a new fuel supplier, Enex Fuels“We are pleased to welcome a new fuel supplier, Enex Fuels, to the Nanaimo Airport,” announces Mike Hooper, President and CEO of Nanaimo Airport. “Enex Fuels is a great fit for us with their commitment to safety and sustainability.”
Enex Fuels is one of Vancouver Island’s leading fuel and lubricant suppliers with a 35 year heritage. Enex Fuels is the exclusive wholesale branded distributor of Esso Fuels and Mobil Lubricants on Vancouver Island, both well-recognized and trusted brands.
“Our award winning team has decades of industry knowledge and experience and a passion for serving our customers,” shares Todd Nicklin, President of Enex. “As well, we continually strive to exceed Best in Class and Best in Industry safety principles and practices.”
A fully operational fuel supplier on site will allow the Nanaimo Airport to continue to grow by having the ability to refuel aircraft that have longer ranges. “Today this service allows us to have the non-stop flights to Calgary, but going forward it could help attract carriers offering flights to the Pacific Northwest, back east, or even a sun destination like Hawaii,” explains Hooper. “We envision this to be the start of a long and successful relationship between Enex Fuels and the Nanaimo Airport.”
