17 April 2025
Nanaimo, B.C. — Air Canada is bringing back its popular non-stop service between Nanaimo Airport (YCD) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) just in time for the busy summer travel season. Starting June 6, 2025, and running through August 30, 2025, travelers can enjoy convenient non-stop flights every Friday and Saturday aboard the Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Flights will depart Nanaimo Airport YCD at 11:30 p.m., offering travelers the added ease of overnight travel. Whether you’re traveling for business, visiting family, or planning a vacation, the late-night departure ensures a stress-free start to your journey. Passengers flying out of YCD have the convenience of not having to worry about ferries and hotels and have the added ease of short check-in and security lines. Flights will depart from Toronto Airport YYZ at 8:15 p.m., which arrives at YCD at 10:30 p.m.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the return of non-stop service to Toronto with Air Canada,” said Dave Devana, President and CEO of Nanaimo Airport. “This route is a win for our community, offering a convenient, stress-free travel option right from Nanaimo. It supports our local economy, strengthens business ties, and opens the door for visitors to experience everything Nanaimo and Vancouver Island have to offer.”
This seasonal route also supports tourism growth on both ends. Nanaimo’s coastal charm and outdoor adventures make it a perfect summer getaway for Ontario travelers. At the same time, Nanaimo residents have a direct path to experience Toronto’s world-class attractions, business hubs, and cultural festivals.
Whether it’s for a vacation or a business trip in the big city, Air Canada’s Nanaimo–Toronto route makes travel easier than ever.
