Nanaimo Airport contest offers free trip to Toronto

Thanks to Nanaimo Airport, a night watching NightOwls could land you and three family members or friends in Toronto with a great view of Blue Jays and wild cats.
It’s all part of the airport’s summer Toronto get-away contest, which is again being offered in partnership with the Nanaimo NightOwls baseball team.
The prize includes:
- Return economy airfare for four from YCD to Toronto
- Four tickets to see a Toronto Blue Jays game
- Admission for four to Royal Ontario Museum, including a private tour and access to its Wild Cats and Immersive Earth exhibits
- Three nights stay at Fairmont Royal York Hotel (two rooms)
To enter, attend the NightOwls Family Game Night on Saturday, June 15 at Serauxman Stadium. The prize will be given away during the game and the winner must be in attendance. Tickets are available at NanaimoNightOwls.com.
Nanaimo NightOwls baseball
The NightOwls play in the West Coast League. It bills itself as one of the premier collegiate summer leagues in the North America. Teams are based in Oregon, Washington, Alberta and B.C. Players come from the top college and university programs in Canada and the U.S.
Blue Jays Major League Baseball
Contest winners will see the Jays take on the Texas Rangers in an afternoon game on Saturday. July 27. The teams play in downtown Toronto at Rogers Centre, which has undergone $400 million in revocations.
Wild Cats exhibit
Royal Ontario Museum’s newest exhibit -– it opens this month -– explores the world of wild cats and the culture they have inspired. From household pets to ferocious tigers, the exhibit includes mounted specimens, interactive displays, and cultural belongings that span continents and the ages.
Immersive Earth exhibit
The one-of-a-kind Earth: An Immersive Journey experience bursts with plants, animals, fungi, and microbes. From a windswept arctic vista to a lush rainforest, habitats come to life with a combination of high-definition projections, scent diffusions, and spatial audio.
